The Friendship Test - Chapter 21 - End of the Beginning

With Steph, Danni and Bri all able to operate out in the open, the training has had a much greater impact.  As fight night approaches, Sophia's confidence is soaring.  But when the time finally comes, she quickly comes unglued.  Can the trio get her head back in the game?

Meanwhile, it seems Steph has a crazy idea... one she's been giving a lot of thought to.  And the thought of having to approach Richelle with it is enough to give Danni a serious headache.

This has taken an interesting turn. I, at least, didn't see this coming. Richelle is going to just love this idea. I think that it being Steph's idea and not Danni's is going to take some of the emotion out of it, however. Should be fun to read. I suppose this is an angle that Steph brings to RSI and the reason she's where she is in the hierarchy. Richelle and Danni probably wouldn't have thought of this, much less proposed it! Steph always thinks what's best fir the team and if that means matching up with another team to better themselves so be it. Great work! Was this the ultimate idea for the collaboration in the first place?

I just read/saw something about how the brain can't deal with two conflicting emotions at once and the best way to deal with anxiety is to make the brain have to stop and think about what it's hearing. A surprise change of subject if you will. I loved that Bri did that! That was awesome. Had I read this before I saw that I'm not sure it would have flown. Excellent move ad it clearly did the job. Sophia got some confidence and some swagger back in under a minute.

Can't wait to wrap this story up. Kudos to you and coauthor. It's been fun.
